Transbid is a new concept in B2B and B2C networking websites and has been established to provide a dynamic trading forum for logistics companies and users of logistics services based in the UK. We call it Transport NetworkingTM.
What’s the big idea?
Rising fuel costs, global warming, increasing competition, it all sounds frightening! So it really goes without saying that we all need to be smarter with how we plan and manage our transport activities. With better utilisation of the free space available on lorries, vans and practically anything we use for transport we will be able to cut down the amount of fuel and other resources used for transporting things from A to B.
If we can achieve this goal, transport companies will be able lower their charges to customers and at the same time will become more profitable as their capacity utilization increases. Road traffic will be reduced as there are fewer journeys required and by saving fuel and reducing emissions we are helping to save the environment for future generations.
